Church Departments
Orchid SDA Church is made up of many departments. Each department plays an important role in the functioning of the church.
ACS Department
The purpose of our ACS department is to meet community needs through holistic (physical, mental, social, spiritual) service, fulfilling the church's mission by offering humanitarian aid, disaster relief, mentoring, health education, and social programs to build relationships and share God's love
Women Ministries
It is a supportive environment for personal growth, addressing specific challenges women face. We are here to nurture, empower, and outreach, supporting women's spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs, helping them grow in Christ.
Men's Ministry
To equip men to become Christ-like leaders, fostering spiritual growth, strong families, and active church/community involvement by connecting them with God, His Word, and other men for discipleship, mentorship, and accountability, ultimately galvanizing their resources for God, family, church, and community.
Personal Ministries
to equip and mobilize every church member for evangelism and discipleship, focusing on soul-winning by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through training, outreach, and practical service like literature distribution, Bible studies, and community outreach, all aiming to prepare people for Christ's second coming.
Youth Ministry
Our aim is to lead young people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, helping them grow spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially, and equipping them for lifelong discipleship and service within the church and community, emphasizing a holistic approach (Total Youth Involvement) for salvation, fellowship, and mission.
Meals on Wheels Community Service
M.O.W.C.S
Aims to combat hunger and poverty in South Africa by delivering nutritious meals and essential support to vulnerable groups like the elderly, children, disabled, and poor, guided by Christian compassion to build healthier, stronger communities and provide hope and connection, following Jesus' example of service.
Prayer Ministry
To cultivate a deep, prayer-driven relationship with Jesus, fostering spiritual revival, strengthening members' faith, and empowering the church for mission by teaching effective prayer, providing resources, promoting corporate prayer, and establishing prayer as a central part of daily life and church culture to bring people closer to God and win souls for Christ.
Adventurers & Pathfinders
To develop Christ-centered youth by nurturing their spiritual, physical, mental, and social growth through engaging activities like nature exploration, community service, life skills training, and Bible study, strengthening family bonds, and helping kids discover their God-given talents to serve others, all within a supportive, fun, and faith-based peer environment.
Children Ministries
to make disciples of children (birth-14 years) by nurturing them into a loving, serving relationship with Jesus Christ, equipping families and churches with resources to foster lifelong faith, and involving kids in the church's mission through inclusive programs and service to share God's love.
Family Ministries
To strengthen marriages, families, and individuals through Christ by providing education, resources, and support for healthy Christian living, fostering strong disciple-making homes that reflect God's love, preparing families for eternity, and offering hope and healing for broken relationships.
